世界遺產之近代遺產計畫(The Modern Heritage Programme)

世界遺產中心這幾年開始密集的跟荷蘭的DOCOMOMO合作,積極地將一些近代建築的傑出作品,申報為世界遺產.
到目前為止已經有二十多個案例列為世界遺產名單,其中有單棟的建築物也有整個城市整體被列入的情況,基本上這些作品中有幾位是工業革命之後對全世界的近代建築有深遠影響的建築師作品,像是Mies拉,Luis Barragán拉 Antoni Gaudí 以及比利時的新藝術大將Victor Horta ...等等的作品都被列入世界遺產了!! 其實這項計畫的著眼點以及它們所在乎的就是"及早"把將來的"古蹟"列入被保護的對象,當然,在保存與維護上的態度是會和歷史久遠的文化遺產有所不同,但原則上是為了打破大家有"年代迷思"的價值觀,從這些作品中可以看出年代久不久遠不重要,重要的是建築師本身或作品對時代的貢獻,我想這點是台灣必須要去思考的!! 


At the start of 2001 the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and DOCOMOMO (Working Party for the Documentation and Conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement) launched a joint programme for the identification, documentation and promotion of the built heritage of the 19th and 20th centuries - the Programme on Modern Heritage. With financial support from the government of the Netherlands, this programme focuses on raising awareness concerning the heritage of architecture, town planning and landscape design of the modern era, which is considered to be particularly vulnerable because of weak legal protection and low appreciation among the general public.
The Programme on Modern Heritage aims to establish a framework of conceptual thinking on the significance of this heritage, its preservation and some of the pivotal issues concerning identification and valorisation. This framework is being developed through the various Regional Meetings on Modern Heritage, which have been implemented by the World Heritage Centre, and should facilitate further, more concrete studies and exercises undertaken by the States Parties concerned.

•Tugendhat Villa in Brno
•White City of Tel-Aviv -- the Modern Movement
•Muskauer Park / Park Muzakowski
•Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens
•Varberg Radio Station
•Luis Barragán House and Studio

2006歐盟文化遺產獎



 

歐盟與Europa Nostra於3月13日宣布歐盟文化遺產獎（European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage/ Europa Nostra Awards）5件得獎作品，歐盟文化遺產獎由歐盟執委與Europa Nostra於2002年共同創辦，並在執委會文化2000計畫架構下執行，選出歐盟地區文化遺產保存的典範，頒奬典禮訂於六月下旬在馬德里舉行，屆時由西班牙王后主持。


歐盟文教執委費格（Figel）先生表示「投資我們過去的未來，意即保存歐盟遺產，讓未來一代能有更好的了解認識，是執委會文化領域的目標之一，這5件得獎作品說明歐洲文化遺產許多面向，包含建築與古蹟的修復、調整古蹟建築至新用途、保存區域新建築計畫、城鄉風景名勝的修復、典藏保護、優越研究與遺產保存專業等」。

總計有214件申請案，歐盟文化遺產獎有3個目標：推廣高水準的遺產保存、鼓勵跨國界知識與技能交換、及激勵文化遺產領域進一步的模範創舉。

五件得獎作品分別獲得獎金10,000歐元，得獎項目如下：

• Conservation of Architectural Heritage: to the 16th century Omeriye Ottoman Baths, Nicosia (Cyprus)

• Conservation of Cultural Landscapes: to the Vía de la Plata, Extremadura (Spain),

• Conservation of Works of Art: to the Edward Chambré Hardman Photographic Collection, Liverpool (United Kingdom).

• Outstanding Studies: to Dr Anna Sulimowska-Ociepka and the Technical University of Silesia for her PhD thesis on the Old Workers’ Estates in Upper Silesia (Poland)

• Dedicated Service to Heritage Conservation: to the Maisons Paysannes de France,
